We are motherless mothers who found each other in the shared silence of our journeys. We established this community to offer the understanding, connection, and direction we couldn't find elsewhere.

Adina & Lou
Our story is one of discovery and hope—a light in the darkness of the newborn haze. In June 2024, Louise was navigating the early weeks of motherhood with her firstborn son. All without the love, attention, and nurturing tenderness of her own mother. She dropped a message on a closed Facebook group, seeking support from other mothers in a similar situation.
Adina responded, and they instantly connected, both agreeing there needed to be more accessible support, connection, and representation for motherless mothers. This marked the start of The Motherless Mothers community and charity.
At TMM, we believe every motherless mother’s story matters. We welcome women of all backgrounds, cultures, identities and experiences — whether your mother is absent through loss, estrangement, illness or other circumstances. You belong here, and your voice is valued.

Lou co-leads TMM, driving the charity's growth while leading partnerships, workplace education, fundraising, communications, and volunteer development.

Adina co-leads TMM, driving the charity's growth while leading its clinical programmes, research, NHS partnerships and the expansion of its local and national community.
CLINICAL PARTNERSHIPS & ANTENATAL PROGRAM MANAGER
Steph leads our specialist antenatal programme and develops partnerships with healthcare professionals and NHS services to strengthen grief-aware, evidence-informed perinatal support.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT & ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
Emma leads the delivery of our online community, peer support and member engagement, ensuring every woman feels welcomed, connected and supported throughout her journey.
VOLUNTEER MANAGER
Laura leads the recruitment, training, support and wellbeing of our volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality support across all TMM services.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Olivia leads the growth of TMM's local communities by supporting Community Leaders, developing new locations and strengthening opportunities for meaningful in-person connection.
