Navigating motherhood is an incredibly profound shift in one's life - but to do it without the guiding voice, support, and love of your mum brings challenges unique and new.  My amazing mum Angie was diagnosed with a grade four multifocal glioblastoma (an aggressive brain tumor) when I was just 14 weeks pregnant; and she died when my daughter was just three months old. It meant my whole pregnancy was filled with both anticipatory joy and grief; and now, early motherhood is filled with huge surges of love and profound loss. Finding TMM and hearing from other women who were experiencing or have experienced something similar was extremely comforting. I'm honored to join TMM as a trustee.

For the last decade I have worked in fundraising and grant writing for international humanitarian organisations, and I am thrilled to be bringing some of that insight domestically - especially to a mission I care so deeply about. "To mother" proves that our capacity to love only expands, and to support other women with a little bit of extra love when needed is something I look forward to through TMM.
