Clare is a senior midwife and a mother of three who has been working in the NHS for over 30 years. During her time working with thousands of families, she has helped to support a number of pregnant women and new mums who have not had support or guidance from their own mothers due to bereavement, estrangement or physical distance.
She is very passionate about the work that The Motherless Mothers are doing, as she is well aware that the transition to motherhood and the ongoing journey that follows can be challenging, especially for those who do not have their own mother to call on for advice and emotional support.
Clare is keen to link the charity with wider maternity services in order to ensure that this supportive community is accessible to anyone who needs it in their pregnancy and motherhood journey
