Reddit Community Volunteer
Helping us connect with and support online communities
Why this role matters
Many motherless mothers turn to online spaces when they’re searching for understanding, connection, and support. Reddit is often one of the first places women go when they’re trying to make sense of grief, estrangement, identity, or early motherhood without maternal support.
We’re looking for volunteers who can help us thoughtfully engage with relevant communities, share resources where appropriate, and gently increase awareness of TMM among people who may benefit from our work.
Your presence can help more women feel seen, supported, and less alone.
What you’ll do
Depending on your interests and experience, you may support with:
Identifying relevant communities and conversations
Sharing TMM resources and information where appropriate and permitted
Monitoring discussions related to bereavement, baby loss, estrangement, and maternal wellbeing
Signposting individuals to TMM services and support opportunities
Helping the team understand common themes, questions, and unmet needs emerging from online communities
Supporting awareness campaigns and community‐engagement initiatives
What you’ll bring
Strong written communication skills
Sensitivity and empathy when engaging with difficult topics
Good judgement and respect for community guidelines
Confidence using online forums or a willingness to learn
An interest in bereavement support, advocacy, or community building
You don’t need formal experience — curiosity, care, and a thoughtful approach are just as valuable.
Time commitment
Flexible and ongoing
Can be shaped around your availability
What you’ll get out of it
Experience in online community engagement
Insight into the experiences and needs of motherless mothers
Opportunities to develop communication and digital‐engagement skills
A meaningful role in helping more women discover support
Connection with a passionate, purpose‐driven team
