Our story is one of discovery and hope—a light in the darkness of the newborn haze. In June 2024, Louise was navigating the early weeks of motherhood with her firstborn son. All without the love, attention, and nurturing tenderness of her own mother. She dropped a message on a closed Facebook group, seeking support from other mothers in a similar situation.

Adina responded, and they instantly connected, both agreeing there needed to be more accessible support, connection, and representation for motherless mothers. This marked the start of The Motherless Mothers community and charity.

At TMM, we believe every motherless mother’s story matters. We welcome women of all backgrounds, cultures, identities and experiences — whether your mother is absent through loss, estrangement, illness or other circumstances. You belong here, and your voice is valued.
