Income Generation & Fundraising Volunteer

Helping secure the support that makes our work possible

Why this role matters

Every conversation, support group, resource, research project, and advocacy initiative at TMM exists because of the generosity of donors and supporters. As a small charity, sustainable funding is essential to ensuring that motherless mothers continue to receive the care, connection, and community they deserve.

We’re looking for volunteers who can help us identify fundraising opportunities, engage supporters, and develop creative ways to generate income that will help our services grow and thrive.

What you’ll do

Depending on your interests and experience, you may support with:

  • Researching fundraising opportunities and potential supporters

  • Supporting individual giving campaigns and donation appeals

  • Helping develop fundraising ideas and community initiatives

  • Assisting with fundraising events and challenges

  • Supporting donor communications and stewardship activities

  • Identifying opportunities for corporate support and sponsorship

  • Helping us build relationships with people who want to support our mission

What you’ll bring

  • An interest in fundraising, charity development, or community engagement

  • Strong communication and relationship‐building skills

  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach

  • Confidence reaching out to people and organisations

  • Good organisation and attention to detail

  • Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential — passion for our mission and a willingness to help make an impact matter most.

Time commitment

  • Flexible and ongoing

  • Can be shaped around your availability

What you’ll get out of it

  • Experience in fundraising and income generation

  • Opportunities to develop communication, networking, and relationship‐building skills

  • Insight into how charities secure support and grow sustainably

  • A meaningful role in helping ensure motherless mothers can access vital services

  • Connection with a passionate, purpose‐driven team
