Grant & Funding Research Volunteer
Helping us find the funding opportunities that fuel change
Why this role matters
Grants and charitable funding play a vital role in helping TMM deliver support, research, advocacy, and awareness initiatives. Finding the right opportunities takes time, curiosity, and careful research - and every successful grant helps us reach more motherless mothers who need connection, understanding, and support.
We’re looking for volunteers who can help us identify funding opportunities and support the development of strong, thoughtful grant applications that reflect the importance and impact of our work.
What you’ll do
Depending on your interests and experience, you may support with:
Researching trusts, foundations, and grant programmes
Identifying funding opportunities aligned with TMM’s mission
Tracking application deadlines and requirements
Gathering information and evidence for funding applications
Assisting with drafting or reviewing grant proposals
Supporting reporting and monitoring requirements for funded projects
Maintaining funding prospect lists and application records
What you’ll bring
Strong research and written communication skills
Good organisation and attention to detail
An interest in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development
The ability to synthesise information clearly and accurately
A thoughtful, reliable, and steady approach
Experience with grant writing is welcome but not essential — we also welcome volunteers who simply enjoy research, writing, and helping charities grow their impact.
Time commitment
Flexible and project‐based
Can be shaped around your availability
What you’ll get out of it
Experience in grant research and proposal development
Insight into charity funding and nonprofit sustainability
Opportunities to strengthen research, writing, and analytical skills
A meaningful role in helping secure resources for motherless mothers and families
Connection with a passionate team working to create lasting change
