Mother Loss & Motherhood: 6-Week Online Support Group

£240.00

When you become a mother, something shifts.

Suddenly the absence of your own mother — whether she is gone or simply not there in the way you needed — takes up new space. You find yourself grieving at the school gate, in the middle of the night feed, in moments that were supposed to feel full.

Nobody told you that motherhood could make the loss louder.

Mother Loss and Motherhood is a 6-week virtual support group for women who are holding both things at once — the work of raising a child and the grief of not having the mother they need.

This group offers something rare: a small, honest space where grief is not minimised, rushed, or explained away. Where you don't have to pretend the loss is simple or that you have made peace with it.

Over six weeks, you will move through themes including the mother you needed, the guilt and anger that don't get talked about, the way grief resurfaces with every milestone — and what it means to become the mother you are, in the absence of the one you lost.

Although these sessions are led by Erica, a licensed therapist, this course is not group therapy. It is a structured, facilitated support group held with clinical care and warmth, drawing on grief psychology, attachment theory, and the lived reality of what you are carrying.

6 weeks. No more than 10 women. One honest (virtual) room.

This group is for you if:

  • You are a mother or are pregnant with your first child.

  • Your own mother is absent — through death or Alzheimer's/dementia.

  • Becoming a mother has brought your grief closer to the surface.

  • You are stable enough to be in community (not in acute crisis or requiring clinical support).

  • You are ready to explore, reflect, and be witnessed — not just advised.

This group is not a substitute for therapy or clinical mental health treatment. If you are currently in crisis or need one-on-one clinical support, we will help you find the right resource.

When: April 24th, May 1st, May 8th, May 15th, May 22nd, May 29th

Time: 3:00-4:00 pm GMT

*Please note that the first session on April 24th is 75 minutes.
