Advocacy & Policy Support Volunteer
Helping drive change for motherless mothers through evidence, awareness, and influence
Why this role matters
At TMM, we don’t just provide support - we work to change the systems, services, and conversations that shape the experiences of motherless mothers. Through advocacy, we raise awareness, influence decision‐makers, and help ensure that women’s voices are heard in healthcare, policy, and public understanding.
We’re looking for volunteers who are passionate about creating positive change and want to help strengthen our advocacy and policy work.
What you’ll do
Depending on your interests and experience, you may support with:
Researching policies, guidance, and relevant developments
Helping draft consultation responses, briefing notes, or position statements
Supporting awareness campaigns and advocacy initiatives
Monitoring developments in healthcare, bereavement care, and maternal wellbeing
Gathering evidence, insights, and lived‐experience stories that illustrate the need for change
Assisting with stakeholder engagement and relationship‐building activities
What you’ll bring
An interest in social change, healthcare, policy, or advocacy
Strong research and communication skills
Curiosity, critical thinking, and attention to detail
A commitment to representing lived experiences with care and respect
Enthusiasm for helping improve outcomes for motherless mothers
You don’t need formal policy experience — care, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are just as valuable.
