Upcoming creative writing workshop with Beth Daly and TMM
As mothers, we are often hard-pushed for time to spend on ourselves. This one-hour workshop offers you a chance to take some time out for you, to write freely, explore your creativity and help develop your self-expression in a safe and relaxed online session. Beth will provide writing exercises and gentle prompts, using poetry and prose and our shared experience as motherless mothers, to which you can respond as you choose. No writing experience is necessary. There is no obligation to share.
Beth works as Editorial Advisor and writing mentor for a European digital cultural heritage project. She has a PhD in Creative Writing, runs writing workshops and has published a novel called ‘Blood and Water', as well as contributions to various anthologies and journals.
Want to hear more about the creative writing workshop? You can listen to this episode on TMM podcast, where Lou and Adina ask Beth all about it.
You don’t have to be a writer to write. You just need a story, and if you’ve experienced mother loss, you have one.
In this episode, Beth—a motherless mother and published author—shares how creative writing can help us cope with grief, find clarity, and even rediscover ourselves after loss.
Kindness through creativity
Get ready for World Kindness Day (13 Nov) by practising some kindness for yourself. Join us for an hour of gentle and creative me-time. Writer and motherless mother Beth Daley will share a range of simple creative writing prompts which you can follow in the session but also be inspired by and continue using in your own time. You can interpret the prompts as you choose - keep it light or explore more deeply. It’s up to you. No experience necessary. You will not be required to share anything you write - this hour is for you.
Sign up for Beth’s creative writing workshop taking place online on November 12th from 8 to 9pm UK time.
The workshop costs £10.
The price of this will cover Beth’s time and a donation towards The Motherless Mothers’ work.
