Motherless mothering on special occasions

'The kids’ birthdays are the worst. My middle child recently turned four and the house was full. Of giggling, charging toddlers, of metallic balloons, of crisps and cake. And then there was me, standing in a corner of the kitchen, wondering where those four years have gone — and where on earth my mother is.'

TMM Community Builder and volunteer Helen wrote this article for The Times, spotlighting mother loss and the presence it has in her life.

Thank you Helen for bringing some of the truths of motherlessness into the media.
